Abstract:

Adult male rats were treated with clomiphene citrate, a non steroidal inhibitor of gonad otropin release in the rats. They were administered orally as 3.5rrtg/ 100g / day for period of 8 weeks. The weights of testis were less than those of control animals, and the loss in weight progressed with the duration of treatment. Microscopic alterations in the testis included a scanty or even absence of late spematides, and accumulation of lipid droplets. In rats treated for 8 weeks, testicular changes were even more extensive, with evident degenerating primary spermatocytes
