The upper group usually consists of three large veins.right, left and middle. The middle hepatic usually comes from the caudate lobe. Those of the lower group vary in number. they are of small small size and come from the right and caudate lobes. The retro-hepatic segment of the P/C had a length of 6.6 cm and was encircled by liver substance in 32.5 96 of cases.
