Abstract:

Extract the study in English As a result of the rapid developments of information and communication technology and the subsequent growth of the growing of the Internet; many sources of electronic information had been generated , especially journals and electronic books, theses scientific university, conference proceedings and research findings, and other sources, which have increased the adoption of researchers in the recent. As a result of the multiplicity of forms and patterns of these sources and turning many of them to electronic format; researchers found themselves in front of a new reality to be dealt with but also must acquire a set of skills, search and retrieval mechanism that would enable them to navigate in the world of the Internet and take advantage of these sources; and then appeared the search engines That have contributed to an active role in this. but they were not sufficient to carry out this role. It was to be the emergence of new technology that allows these researchers to access the contents of these sources. This is what was done by objective evidence that classified sources of electronic information objectively making it easier for researchers to access what they want without searching directly in many of the results that may not be useful for them. However, the extreme diversity of the sources of electronic information was the motive to show technology more specialized work to collect, organize and transmit the specific topics for a certain class of users, and this was clearly evident in the portal, which has become one of the leading channels of electronic information sources available via the Internet. Portals has taken a unique place Among the millions of other websites, for its specialized information without addressing the many details that were a major cause of the appearance of this type of websites that are spreading on the Web and in many areas. The educational areas especially university which is better example of this, has rushed many of the universities in the developed world in the establishment of portals show their own goals and service will offer to students such as: Harvard, Tokyo and others. In the Arab world establishment of portals has been marked by very slow, and although it appeared some of the gates undergraduate Egyptian like portal of Mansoura University, which became the since its inception an active role in serving the educational process inside and outside the university, and to reach the portal its target had been established Center for Communications and information technology , which was aimed to be an effective tool to provide many services-oriented faculty members, as well as staff, students, and others. Among the most prominent of these services at all conversion work systems in Mansoura University from the traditional format to electronic format. Required nature of the study divided into seven chapters. The first one tracked the different stages of the emergence of portals, in addition to the definition of portals by offering several definitions of Arab and foreign ones. After that the chapter dealt with the different types of portals and focused at the institutional and educational portals, and then university portals. The second chapter deals with how to create a portal for University of Mansoura, and its structure, as well as its users, in addition to the services offered and its general analysis. then the chapter ends with a description and analysis of this structure through the application of a set of criteria that determine the extent to which way they were designed to meet the desired objectives Them. The third chapter highlights on the centre of communications and information technology to identify the date of its inception, the objective of its establishment, and its various departments, as well as processing various including the equipment material, programming , operations of networking , communication , the appointment of qualified staff, and others. As well as what is provided by the Centre of services, in addition to the budget of the Centre, and others. The fourth chapter highlights the most available electronic systems through the portal of the University of Mansoura. in terms, describe the system, and its components, the most important applications and functions that have, in addition to the reports and statistics that are extracted from it. The fifth chapter deals with the goal of creating electronic systems in Mansoura University, deals with the executive steps to create, and then design and programming, as well as experimentation and testing, training on these systems, maintenance, and others. Chapter six deals with the emergence of saving documents system in Mansoura University, and implementation steps and stages, through the importance of the system, and its components, and functions, and continuing to talk about the system database, and how to classify (organize) the contents of the system, and the search strategy used. Finally the researcher limits a set of criteria that has applied to the system to indicate whether it perform its duties to the fullest, or not? The focus of the researcher in this chapter on the functional aspects of the system without addressing the technical and technological aspects used in the design, the important thing here is to know the functional components to it. Chapter seven deals with two systems were adding recently to the future management of libraries system university studies and faculty member’s researches. The researcher will deal with these two systems in some detail in terms of objectives, components, functions, and operations of search and retrieval, and others.
