Abstract:

DESCRIPTION Growth Arrest Specific 6 (GAS6) protein is a vitamin K-dependent protein encoded by GAS6 gene and secreted by leukocytes and endothelial cells in response to injury or serum starvation. We investigated the role of GAS6 in cardiovascular diseases, especially in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) . We measured the plasma levels of GAS6 protein by using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method . The mean plasma GAS6 levels were 19.3 ng/ml in healthy control subjects and 10.87 ng/ml in cardiovascular disease patients . our study demonstrated that GAS6 is associated with cardiovascular diseases, these results support the hypothesis that modulation of GAS6 activity may provide an important point for intervention Plasma level of Growth Arrest-Specific 6 (GAS6) Protein in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome - ResearchGate.
