Abstract:

The goal of this research is to study the effect of giving the first dose of a substance "Serfaktant" to premature newborns infected with respiratory distress syndrome who are on respirators, in timing after 24 hours of age and before 48 hours. Find futuristic been studying over two years intensive care unit for newborns. The study included 30 children from newborn premature on a ventilator and people with respiratory distress syndrome devices. Patients were divided into two groups: (1) a first group (15 patients) been given the article "Serfaktant" a dose of 4 ml / kg / dose in the period after 24 hours of age and before 48 hours, (2) a second group (15 patients) as a comparison group match in terms of sex and uterine weight and age with the first group of statistical comparison. Results: The average age in the first set when you give the article "Serfaktant" 29.27 4.13 an hour. At 48 hours of age it resulted in the comparison between the two groups for a high statistical significance with respect to clinical improvement and improved radiology, blood gases and overlapping ventilator better device in the first set for the second. At the same time, the comparison between the two groups resulted in the existence of statistical significance to shorten the length of stay in hospital and a high statistical significance to shorten the duration of stay on the respirator in the first group compared to the second. It has not been a documented case of the death or injury of a chronic pulmonary or extrapulmonary air leak in the first group while it was 13.3% mortality rate and the incidence of chronic pulmonary 20% and drop-out antenna outside the lung 20% in the placebo group. As there was no difference between the two groups in terms of bleeding, pulmonary and cerebral and not to lock the link arterial cardiovascular and inflammation colorectal lytic, but the teams appeared in the proportion of cases of blood poisoning microbial in the first group (13.3%) than in the placebo group (20%). Bottom line and from this study that the article "Serfaktant" used for the treatment of respiratory distress in premature babies and newborns syndrome who are on respirators positive influential even in the case of the first dose 24 hours after the birth. These cases have been treated to this article at this time a marked improvement in clinical status and Chest X-ray and blood gases and overlapping respirator and indicators of improvement on these devices have shown. As well as the deaths did not appear in this group or chronic pulmonary injuries or pneumatic leak outside the lung. Survival for patients in the hospital and also fell on the respirator. Thus, we recommend using the article "Serfaktant" - even if the first dose late - to all cases of respiratory distress syndrome in premature infants who are on respirators.
