Abstract:

Forty two women whose cervical cytologic smears (Fast smear) exhibted en,dometrial cells during the second half of the menstrual cycle were subjected to histologic examination of the endometrium. Fifteen (35.7%) showed endometrial pathology as endometrial polyp in 4 (9.5%), cystic hyperplasia in 8 (19%) and adenomatous hyperplasia in 3 (7.2%) cases.
