Course Description:
The course aims at introducing the A branch of general sociology interested in the study of such terms as health and illness. It also studies the origins, the fields and the development of medical sociology. This takes place via sociological studies of hospitals, medical service institutions, and also through examining the changes that occur in society and lead to the appearance of new shapes of specific illness in society. This branch also investigates some relationships that take place in the medical institution for example the relation between the doctor and the patient and examines the nature of treatment that leads to the best solutions and as a result quick recovery.
