Course Description:
The postgraduate students to be prepared to understand factors affecting microbial growth in dairy products. This will be achieved through: • Provide students with basic information about milk microbiology. • Enable students to understand the factors that influencing milk contamination and ways to control them. • Enable students to understand the source of milk contamination. • Provide knowledge about microbial growth and factors affecting them in milk. • Enable students to know the intrinsic factors of microbial growth. • Enable students to know the extrinsic factors of microbial growth. • Enhance the student educational experience about isolation of different food preservation utilizing information on factors affecting microbial growth. Encourage students to suggest different control methods to prevent microbial growth.
