Course Description:
The course aims at introducing the 1- Definition of the Mongols or Tatars and where they lived and their attributes and beliefs Mongol invasions in Europe 2- Crusades in the late eleventh century and the establishment of entities in the Middle East 3- European missionaries to Mongols to breach Christianity and attempts to convert them to Catholicism 4- Exchanged Embassies between Europe and the Mongols to the military alliance against Muslims to support the Crusader entity in the Middle East 5- Mongols attitudes towards eastern crusaders 6- Mongol attacks on Sham and Iraq during the weakness period before their final falling 7- Mongol defeat at the hands of the Mamelukes and the end of their relationship with Crusades.
