Course Description:
The course aims at introducing a study of the origins and the evolution of criminal psychology, with special reference to the contributions of the scholars, scientific methods of research, the classification of criminals, and patterns of criminal phenomena. This course includes a study of topics such as different concepts of crime, the emergence and development of Criminology, factors affecting criminal behaviors with special reference to the problems of Juvenile offenders, drug addiction, begging, pickpocketing offense, and prostitution. Moreover, it discusses patterns of treatment and prevention of various behavioral deviations.
