Course Description:
The curriculum prepares students to understand the ways and techniques to create architectural and urban environment that achieve the required thermal comfort inside the building depending on the architectural elements and natural surroundings. It includes: the environmental system, factors that lead to environmental equilibrium, Air pollution, demand for lowering the pollution levels – climate, climate properties and its elements in various areas- general climate, local climate, and internal climate of the buildings– frames of thermal comfort inside a building, solar energy utilization relation to the buildings, methods of avoiding sunlight in buildings, economies of shadowing and designing the shadow elements.
