The assessment of the value of Inferior Vena cava diameter (NC) and
collapse index (Cl) by echography as a marker of hydration ststus was
studies in 15 patients with chronic renal failure under regular haemodialysis.
The sensitivity of NC collapse index was 86.67%, on the other
hand, the sensitivity of clinical picture was 73.33%. Therefore, it could
be concluded that NC echography provides a simple non invasive tool
useful in evaluation of hydration status in patients under regular haemodialysis: |
