Abstract
This study comprised on 300 skulls and aimed to know the incidence
of the presence of a groove in the lateral wall of the human orbit. The
groove in the lateral wall was present in 180 orbits (30%) of 600 orbits
studied, distributed on the right side in 18Q orbits (1896) and on the left
side in 72 orbits (12%). About 141 grooves (23.5%) arose from the superior
orbital fissure and 39 groove (6.5%) arose from the foramen meningo - or-
The groove for the orbital branch of the anterior division of the mid Hip
meningeal artery was found in 160 hemiskulls (80%) of 200 hemislculls
