A mod(ftcation of meatal advancement and glartuloplasty technique
(MAGP1), the urethral advancement and glanuloplasty is described in this
study, thirty patients, who had this operation from 1995 to 1998, have
been reviewed.
The overall complication rate was low with 6.6% fistula rate. 10% incidence
of meatal retraction and 3.3% incidence of ventral bowing of the penis
after a mean follow up period of 2.5 years, with no reported cases developed
meatal stenosis .
Only the two patients who developed fistulae, required secondary simple
surgery.
These results denoting that this procedure is safe with a meatus
at the tip of the glans in 90 96 of cases and gives a good cosmetic resuit. |
