Is to achieve the least post operative reaction with the best visual results
through the smallest possible incision after intraocular acrylic lens implantation
in children.
Twelve eyes of 9 patients aged between 3 -15 years with either traumatic or
congenital cataract were subjected to cataract extraction by phacoaspiration
technique and acrylic intraocular lens implantation with primary anterior
vitrectomy and posterior capsulotomy. The intraoperative and post-operative
complications were recorded. Visual acuity was assessed. |
