Background : Anisotnetropia, or the difference in the refractive error between the two eyes of an individual, is
a common cause of amblyopia. Standard treatment of anisome tropic tutthlyopia cited in most pediatric
ophthalmology literature is prescribing optical correction, and time occlusion of the sound eye. Optical
correction, with no or minimal occlusion therapy might be sufficient in many cases to resolve antblyopia. So, we
can get rid of or lessen the burden of occlusion therapy.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of correction of the refractive errors alone or
with minimal patching on the improvement of amblyopia. |
