Publications of Faculty of Medicine:EFFICACY OF DOT-ELISA AT THE FIELD FOR DIAGNOSIS OF EARLY (ACUTE) SCHISTOSOMIASIS: Abstract

DOT-ELISA technique can be used as a good qualitative and visually quantitative test to detect early (acute) cases of schistosomiasis by detection of specific anti-SEA IgM and also differentiate between acute and chronic cases through detection of specific anti-SEA IgM and IgG. Dot-EL1SA technique is very simple, sensitive, economic, reproducible, consumes short time and small amount of materials. It is a unique test for seroepidemiological studies in the field.
