Publications of Faculty of Medicine:IMPOTENCE AT THE WEDDING NIGHT: Abstract

Twenty eight couples were included in the present study. They were suffering from erectile failure dating since the wedding night. Tests were done to exclude organic causes of impotence and then patients were given a program of sex therapy. It was found that wives play a crucial role in the etiology of this condition due to their fear and sexual ignorance. Lack of essential sexual information was also noted in most of male partners. The success rate obtained in therapy (82.1%) was encouraging.
