The phenomenon of referred headache from intranasal anatomical abnormalities
continue to remain a difficult entity to diagnose and to manage.
This study describes a series of patients presenting with headaches
and were subsequently found to have contact points between the nasal
septum and one or more turbinates on nasal endoscapy and computed
tomograpy scans. Application of topical or injected anaesthetic to the site
of contact points (block test) lessened or relieved headache, and subsequent
endoscopic sinonasa/ surgery to relieve the contact points, succeeded
in providing significant headache relief (follow-up of 6 to 13 months).
This study demonstrates that surgical release of contact points is indicated
