Different lines of surgical tretment are used for the treatment of maxillary
sinusitis. There still controversy as regards their efficiency In this
work one hundred cases of chronic maxillary sinusitis were classified according
to the pathology revealed sinoscopically and ractiologically into 2
main groups:
Group (a): Sinuses with thickened oedematous mucosa
(Droup(b): Sinuses showing polypoidal changes.
In the first group it was found that middle meatal arttrostomy alone
yeilded good resullts while in the second group (with polypoidal changes)
the best results were obtained when radical Ca/dwell - Luc's operation associated
with middle meat al artrostomy was carried out |
