Publications of Faculty of Medicine:Sinuscopic and Histopathologic Examination of maxillary Sinuses in Cases of Primary Atrophic Rhinitis: Abstract

Sinuscopy was performed in thirty patients with primary atrophic rhinitis proved by histopathologic examination. Three grades were identified. No atrophic changes were noted in maxillary sinus mucosa in grades I and II while in grade III impairment of ciliary function as well as atrophic changes in mucosa mostly close to the ostium which occasionally acquired marked patency were found.
