The main objectives of our research are to obtain a preliminary general view of the mineral resource at Gabal Abu Khruq. These objectives included :-
1-A general reconnaissance of distribution and potential of the nephline syenite by a field inspection.
2-collecting field samples at the investigated area.
3-Chemical analysis of samples in a laboratory to determine their nepheline, iron and other elements.
4-Estimate the potential reserves of the deposit.
5-Explore the future steps to determine the economic viability and applications of the resource.
6-Obtain background and historical information on the prospect.
7-Discuss possible approaches for ore beneficiation methods.
8-Determine a research strategic plan.
9-Develop a report.
