Abstract:

Background: Nephrectomy is conducted to manage renal malignancies and for purpose of living donor kidney transplantation. This study aims to compare analgesic effectiveness of ESPB versus QLB type III in open nephrectomy surgeries. Methods: This randomized, double-blind trial was carried out on a cohort of 75 cases underwent open nephrectomy surgeries. Patients were distributed into three evenly matched groups: Group I: received only general anesthesia (GA), group II: received ESPB and group III: received QLB type III.
