The study was approved by the local Ethics Committee of Faculty of Medicine, Banha University. The collected data were revised, coded, tabulated, and statisticallyanalyzed. Results:The mean age for patients with sepsis was 60.43years and 61.15for septic shock. Septic shock group had significantly higher heart rate, lactate, higher frequency of vasopressor usewhen compared to sepsis group. GLS showed a correlation with vasopressor use Conclusion:Speckle tracking echocardiography is a good diagnostic tool for diagnosis of cardiomyopathy in patients with septic shock.
