Moreover, the present study seeks to build the instructional unit for a target sample of students with mild mental retardation.
The research is organized in the following order:
The First Axis :
(1) study of a sample with mild mental retardation showing nature, personal, and artistic characteristics of those students.
(2) Review of different types of metal wire material, various thicknesses, plastic methods used in the formation processes to select the most appropriate upon the implementation of the experiment.
The Second Axis :
(1) Planning an instructional unit to develop the art ability of students with simple mental retardation with plastic metal wire.
(2) Application of the instructional unit to the study sample (age:15-19 years) .The researcher held interviews (8 per a week) throughout 3 months in the mental education school affiliate to Banha district, Kalyobia governorate .
(3) Examining before and after test results to determine discrepancies indicating the growth rate of art skill among those students in the formation technique with metal wire, following the instructional unit directions.
