The research investigated the effectiveness of using Curipod as an AI application for developing teaching skills of EFL student teachers at the Faculty of Education. The participants of the study consisted of 60 third-year EFL student teachers at the Faculty of Education, Benha University. They were divided into an experimental group (N=30) and a control group (N=30). The research adopted a quasi-experimental method (pre-posttest design). The instruments of the study included an EFL teaching skills observation checklist and a rubric for scoring it. The EFL teaching skills observation checklist was pre-administered to both groups to identify their level in teaching skills before the intervention. Then, the experimental group was taught using Curipod while the control group was taught using the regular methods. After the intervention, the EFL teaching skills observation checklist was post-administered on both groups to identify the effectiveness of using Curipod on developing EFL teaching skills. The findings revealed the effectiveness of using Curipod for developing teaching skills of EFL student teachers. Thus, it was suggested to integrate Curipod for developing teaching skills of EFL student teachers in different levels and teaching skills of EFL in-service teachers. |
