Background: Pancreatic carcinoma is the 12th most common cancer worldwide. Pancreatic cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide. Aim: Evaluation Of the role of Methyltransferase like 3 (METTL3) expression by immunohistochemistry in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and its relation with clinicopathological data. Material and methods: This retrospective study analyzed 50 cases of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and 15 normal pancreatic tissue samples from Egyptian patients, collected between 2019 and 2023 using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples. METTL3 proteins was assessed by Immunohistochemistry in these cases. Results: METTL3 expression was negative in 26% of cases, low in 36%, and high in 38% of PDAC cases. A significant positive relationship was found between METTL3 expression and histologic grade, primary tumor extent, regional lymph node involvement, and pathological Tumor-Node-Metastasis (TNM) staging (p |
