Thirty posterior chamber intraocular lenses were implanted In eyes of children who had uniocular cataract (25 traumatic and 5 congenital). Primary posterior capsulotomy (on the table) behind the bag fixated lens was done In all cases. The difficulties, complications and the corrected visual results are discussed. The overall results ensures a clear pupillary area, minimal postoperative complications and favourable visual outcome. This adds support to indicate posterior chamber lens implantation with primary posteriorcapsulotomy as a practical alternative but itdefinitely needs more attention and follow up. |
