The interlocking nail widens the range of indications for medullary odteosynthesis of fenzoral shaft fractures. It provides great stability to the fracture and controls length, alignment and rotation of the limb. Twenty five patients had closed femoral shaft fractures were managed by the interlocking nail, static interlocking nail fixation was performed in twenty three (92%) of our patients, dynamization was not needed except in two patients (8%) the follow up period ranged from 6 to 32months (average 18 months), Based on clinical and radiographic parameters, the Results were excellent in seventeen patients (68%), good in six patients (24%) and fair in two patients (8%). inermanaew |
