Abstract: |
Four group of 20 albino rats were studied. Group I: control normal rats fed ordinary rat diet. Group II: fed a hyperlipidemic diet (hyperlipidemic control). Group III: hyperlipidemic rats administrated garlic oil (28 mg/kg body wt. Orally). Group IV: control normal rats received garlic oil by the same dose. Blood and brain samples were collected at 2 and 4 weeks after administration of garlic oil. The recorded data revealed highly significant increase in Glutathione Peroxidase (GSH-Px), and Glutathione |
