The research aims to design a Technological Medium (T.M) to improve some of the kinematic variables of some skills of racket sports by using the designed medium in training on the skills under study. The researcher used the experimental methodology by pre and post measurement for one group of tennis and table tennis samples.
After the T.M was designed, the researcher conducted his study on the research sample of (5) players in tennis from the (Smart Village) club and (5) players in table tennis from (Toukh Sports Club), where he used the training program of tennis in The Smart Village Club, adding to it the use of the designed medium. The program was for a period of two months and consisted of 24 training units at a rate of 3 units per week. As for table tennis, the researcher conducted his table - tennis study in parallel with the study of tennis immediately after the return of sporting activity in the sports facilities, and the researcher sought the help of the training program for the Table Tennis Academy at Toukh Sports Club
The researcher reached the following results:
- There are differences in the pre and post measurement in favor of the post measure in the tennis sample, where the calculated value of T was 2.032, which is greater than the tabular value of T at a significance level of 0.05
- There are differences between the pre and post measurement in favor of the post in the table tennis sample, where the calculated value of T was 1.82, which is greater than the tabular value of T at a significance level of 0.05
- The percentage of improvement between pre and post measurement for the tennis sample reached 84.7%
- The percentage of improvement between the pre and post measurement of the table tennis sample reached 202.69%
The researcher recommends directing the attention of those in charge of the training process to:
- The attention and the use of T.M in the training process.
- The use of the method designed to improve the skills of various racket sports.
- The use of the measurements resulting from the method designed to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the performance of the players.
- The use of wearable technology to help to reduce problems of traditional methods of performance monitoring such as photography, placing the player in laboratories of the kinematic analysis and restricting his movement.
- Conducting scientific studies and research on the use of technology in the field of sports training because of its great impact on the training process. |
