Background: Nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy are so common that it can be considered a normal part of pregnancy, experienced by pregnant women in early pregnancy between the fourth and seventh week of pregnancy in 80 percent of pregnant women and resolves by the 20th week of gestation Aim: The present study aimed to study effect of applying Benson relaxation technique on nausea and vomiting among primigravida women in the first trimester of pregnancy. Design: Quasi-experimental equivalent study (study and control groups) was followed to fulfill the aim of the study. Setting: The study was conducted at Obstetric and Gynecological Out -Patient Clinic in Benha University hospital. Sample: A Purposive sample was selected according to inclusion criteria. The sample consists of 108 women with nausea and vomiting; divided equally as (54 in study group & 54 in control group).
