Abstract: |
This study aimed to evaluate mini-FLOTAC technique in diagnosis of intestinal parasites by comparing it with direct smear, formol-ether sedimentation technique, Kato-Katz technique and centrifugal flotation technique. To reach this objective 100 fresh stool samples were collected from patients of different ages and of both sexes, attending the out-patient clinics of Benha Educational Hospitals and Abu El-Resh Hospital. Those patients were complaining of gastrointestinal manifestations. This study was carried out in the period from September 2014 to April 2015. The current study shows that about half of the study group suffer from parasitic infection (P>0.05). Most of the infected population has a single parasitic infection while only minority have double parasitic infection (P |
