| Abstract: |
Background PRMT3 and IGF2BP1 overexpression has been detected in several malignancies and has been recognized by their oncogenic role. No studies have handled the expression of PRMT3 and IGF2BP1 in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) and their association with outcome. This work aimed at exploring the significance of PRMT3 and IGF2BP1 expression in ACC and their correlation with FOXM1 expression. Patients and methods Immunohistochemistry accessed quantitative expression of PRMT3, IGF2BP1, and FOXM1 proteins in 60 cases of ACC and 20 cases of adrenocortical adenoma. IGF2BP1 mRNA and PRMT3 mRNA were also evaluated using a quantitative realtime PCR. Results PRMT3, IGF2BP1, and FOXM1 expression were statistically highly significant in ACC compared to adrenocortical adenoma (P |
