In this paper, assuming that the lifetime of each item under normal condition
follows the modi
edWeilbull distribution, partially accelerated life tests based on progressive
Type-II censored samples are considered. The likelihood equations are to be solved numer-
ically to obtain the maximum likelihood estimates. Based on normal approximation to the
asymptotic distribution of maximum likelihood estimates, the approximate con
dence inter-
vals for the parameters are derived. It is di¢ cult to get explicit form for Bayes estimates,
so Markov chain Monte Carlo method is used to solve this problem, which gives us exi-
bility to construct the credible intervals for the parameters. Lindley approximation is also
being disscussed to obtain Bayes estimators. Finally, an illustrative example and simulation
studies are being considered. |
