Abstract:

The aim of the research is to present new experimental entry points by deriving the aesthetic and formative values ​​of the typographic design of postage stamps and utilizing them in the field of visual design. To achieve the research hypothesis "The possibility of developing innovative design solutions inspired by the aesthetic and symbolic values of the typographic design of postage stamps using the formative techniques of digital collage" the research approach was that of content analysis in the theoretical and experimental approach in its applied work for (8) design samples. The researcher has used both Photoshop and Illustrator programs, and a sample of postage stamps acquired from different countries for study. The results of the research was the development of innovative design solutions from postage stamps as an artistic cadre rich in educational, aesthetic and symbolic values that enriches the field of design by using the formative techniques of digital collage and typographic design in the development of contemporary design and visual arts . The researcher recommended the need to study the aesthetics of postage stamps that reflects the Country's ideology, domestic events, identity and principles, foreign relations, attitudes to global events and the Country's economic aspect and utilizing them to enrich the digital design of art students. To maintain the link between the designer's innovations, heritage and contemporary art , it is important to focus more attention on digital arts as a contemporary format requirement that reflects rapid technical development.
