There was a highly statistically significant difference in knowledge, self-care practices and maternal and
neonatal outcomes in the study group compared to the control group after implementing the educational
intervention P≤0.001. Moreover, there was a highly statistically significant association between total knowledge
score and total self-care practices score before and after intervention. The study Concluded that, the
educational intervention positively affect women's knowledge, self-care practices regarding postoperative
cervical cerclage and had better maternal and neonatal outcomes with significant differences between both
groups. There was a positive association between total knowledge and total self-care practices score before &
after implementing the educational intervention P≤0.001.The study recommended that the educational
intervention should be used as one of the routine hospital care for women undergoing cervical cerclage |
