Electric power lines, faulty wiring as well as electrical and electronic appliances are common sources of electromagnetic fields that should be within the safe limits. In order to monitor these limits, a new prototype microcontrolled-based broadband electromagnetic detection circuit has been proposed. It consists of a sensing detector, wide-band detection circuits, and a microcontrolled display circuit. The filter circuit of the proposed system has a transfer function that provides a distinct response in a broad frequency band (from 3 Hz to 300 MHz). These circuits provide voltage indication of the detected electromagnetic flux density. The display circuit consists of a programmable microchip PIC 16F877 40-Pin 8-Bit CMOS FLASH Microcontroller and 16 Character ×2 Line Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) to read and digitally display the received electromagnetic radiation level. |
