ملخص الرسالة
تتعلق الرسالة بدراسة الأصبع في مصر القديمة دراسة "لغوية- حضارية" ولقد قُسمت الدراسة إلى ثلاثة فصول:
الفصل الأول منها يتناول المفردات والمرادفات الدالة على الأصبع وأجزائه في اللغة المصرية القديمة ودلالات مخصص الأصبع بقيمتها الصوتية، ودلالة المخصص في وضع الأصبع في الفم.
الفصل الثاني يتناول الأصبع بين الماهية والدور الدنيوي، موضحاً الدور الوظيفي للأصبع واستخدامه كأداة للإشارة ووسيلة للتعامل مع الصم والبكم، كما يُشير إلى الأمراض التي تُصيب الأصبع في مصر القديمة مع طرق علاجها، وكذلك الأعشاب الطبية المستخدمة في العلاج، ودور الأصبع في الأدب المصري القديم، وأخيراً الدور الوظيفي للأصبع في الفن المصري القديم.
الفصل الثالث يتناول الأصبع بين ماهيته والدور العقائدي، ويتحدث عن دور الأصبع في النصوص الدينية (نصوص الأهرام، متون التوابيت، كتب الموتى)، ودور الأصبع في القيام بإتمام الطقوس والشعائر الدينية، وعلاقة الأصبع بالمعبودات في مصر القديمة.
ولقد تم استعراض أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها الباحثة، بالإضافة إلى الفهرس وقائمة المراجع العربية والمُترجمة، والمراجع الأجنبية وقائمة الملاحق.

Master’s Summary
The Master’s thesis is about a linguistic- cultural study of ‘’The Finger in Ancient Egypt’’. The study is divided into three chapters;
The first chapter deals with vocabulary and equivalents concerning the finger and its parts in the ancient Egyptian language, and the indications of the determinatives of the finger in its phonetic value, and the indication of putting the finger in the mouth.
The second chapter deals with the finger between the nature and the its role in the life, explaining the functional role of the finger and using it as a tool for signaling and as a method of dealing with the deaf and dumb, and refers to the diseases that infect the finger in ancient Egypt, methods of treatment, medical herbs used in the treatment, as well as the role of the finger in ancient Egyptian literature, and finally the functional role of the finger in ancient Egyptian art.
The third chapter deals with the finger between the nature and the ideological role and talks about the role of the finger in religious texts (Pyramid-texts, Coffin-texts, books of the dead) and the role of the finger in the performance of ceremonies and religious rituals, and the relations of the finger with deities in ancient Egypt, then reviewed the most important results of the researcher, in addition to the index and a list of Arabic and translated reference, as well as foreign references, and a list of appendixes.
