The effectiveness of a training program based on the theory of mind in developing some emotional skills for a sample of mentally handicapped children [2022-08-28]
The study aimed to prepare a program based on theory of mind in developing some emotional skills among a sample of mentally handicapped children who are able to learn. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach, and the study sample consisted of "4" children (2 males and 2 females) of mentally handicapped who are able to learn, whose ages ranged between 9-12 years and their IQ ranged between 50-70 on the Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale, and to achieve the objectives of the study The researcher applied some tools, which are:
- Scale of emotional skills illustrated for children with mental disabilities who are able to learn (prepared by the researcher)
- study program (prepared by the researcher)
The results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean scores of the study sample in the tribal and remote measures of the emotional skills scale in the direction of the post measurement, and this indicates the effectiveness of the training program based on theory of mind in developing some emotional skills for children with mental disabilities who are able to learn.
