Human capital has considered as an important factor in competitiveness and inclusive growth. Over the past forty years, economists have examined the role of human capital in competitiveness and growth in numerous theoretical and empirical studies. The current paper attempts to review the human capital theory through determining the definitions of human capital, and it provides an overview the development of human capital theory in the various economic schools. This proposal divided into five sections. The paper has many findings: Regards to measure human capital, no single approach to measuring human capital is free from limitations, some authors have attempted to combine different methods to exploit their strengths while neutralizing their weaknesses. the most common Indicators of Human Capital which based on reports of global competitiveness index (GCI). |
