The countries of the world are paying increasing attention to studies of the quality of life within urban environments, and the establishment of more humane development programs and plans, leaving classifications and statistics that do not affect the life of the individual and society as a whole, with the aim of evaluating those plans and programs and limiting the deterioration of the urban environment, especially the Egyptian state, which is also fragmented. To this regard, which was the reason for putting forward several initiatives to improve the quality of life within urban environments, the most important of which were initiatives (development of slums - a decent life - expansion in the establishment of urban societies in a way that keeps pace with the times), with the aim of examining and monitoring the negatives of urban environments in Egyptian cities at the level of Its construction unit represented in residential (neighborhoods - neighborhoods), and then rebuilding the Egyptian person and providing a better urban environment.
Therefore, the research paper aims to build an applied measurement model in a systematic framework to measure the quality of urban life from the perspective of societal general satisfaction, by identifying the concepts of quality of life indicators, their classification and measurability, and adopting critical visions of different measurement methods and determining the appropriate ones for the Egyptian case, and setting some assumptions The theory and procedural steps that contribute to the richness and credibility of the measurement during the measurement process, and then help in measuring and evaluating those initiatives and development plans, as well as guiding planners and designers before proceeding to formulate and design (create/improve existing ones) urban environments.
