A) In Bacteriology:
• Bacterial isolation and identification with three years experiences in pathogens risk group 3.
• Molecular identification of pathogen (DNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR).
• Experiences in serological diagnostic techniques.
B) In Proteomics:
• Sample preparation and protein extraction from microbes.
• SDS-PAGE, two dimensional electrophoresis (2DE) and staining.
• 2DE western blotting, gel spot excision, trypsin digestion of protein spots.
• Sample spotting on MALDI target plate, peptide mass fingerprinting.
• MASCOT searching, protein identification and result evaluation.
C) Production and characterization of recombinant proteins of bacterial pathogens:
• Primer design and purification of PCR products.
• Cloning and transformation
• Isolation of plasmid for protein production.
• Purification of bacterial proteins.
D) In Pathology:
• Experimental pathology (Experiment design, results and data analysis).
• Egg inoculation and chicken embryo infection.
