Abstract:

impact of developing muscle strength Using plyometric Exercises on Skilled Performance for Wrestlers Dr. Haitham Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed Zalat(*) Introduction Wrestling coaches give great interest in training program to develop skill performance and working muscles in skill performance. They ignore overall development of working muscles or muscle work on strength element; which works on upgrading wrestlers' skill performance level. Research objective: Developing proposed framework for some drills using plyometric exercises to develop muscle strength, and identify its effect on wrestlers' skill performance level. Research hypotheses 1- There are statistically significant differences between skill performance level pre and post measurements for the control group in favor of post measurement. 2- There are statistically significant differences between skill performance level pre and post measurements for the experimental group in favor of post measurement. 3- There are statistically significant differences between skill performance level post measurements for experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. Research Methodology The researcher used the experimental approach with two groups design (experimental and control) due to its relevance to research nature. Research sample Sample selected intentionally and included (40) wrestlers aged between 18 and 20 years at Muslims Youth club, Qaliubiya region, 10 wrestlers assigned to pilot study. The rest represent main study sample and divided into two groups (experimental and control) each of 15 players. Data collection tools - Performance level evaluation form - Physical abilities tests (under study). - Physiological measurements - Program of exercises used by researcher Conclusions The proposed training program using plyometric exercises significantly improved performance skills effectiveness in the experimental group Recommendations It is important to consider designing plyometric training programs to achieve principle of muscle balance for different body parts.
