Abstract:

A field experiment was conducted during winter season of 2003/2004 where broad bean plants ( Vicia faba cv Giza 717) were grown on a sandy soil. The experiment was carried out at Ismailia Agriculture Station Egypt to study the effect of application methods of P Zn on yield of faba bean and the uptake of nutrients. Thee results showed that straw yield, seed yield, 100-grain weight and uptake of P, K and Zn by straw or seed s increased significantly due to P and Zn treatments, also crude protein % in faba bean seeds increased as affected by P and Zn application.
