Abstract:

Finishing is to make textiles more appealing to consumers by attaining a number of objectives like as func tionalization, increased quality, and improved performance. Polymers are increasingly being used instead of simple chemicals to improve multiple useful features in most natural and synthetic fibres, such as absorbency, antibacterial protection, and ultraviolet protection. The use of nanotechnology in textile finishing has helped to improve the quality and performance of textile materials by giving new and more sophisticated capabilities to textile substrates as well as boosting current functionality such as durability, antibacterial, and UV protection (UPF). The proclivity of metal nanoparticles, such as AgNPs and ZnONPs, to interact with microbes has affected desired results in textile materials. Tea leaf extract was used to create AgNPs. ZnONPs were calcined from the powder produced by reacting zinc acetate with tea leaf extract. The fabric is coated with polycation (PC) and metal nanoparticles that have been produced.
