The aim of the current research is to reveal the effectiveness
of integrating the infographic display style (interactive and
animated) in the virtual classroom environment and the “high-low”
mental capacity in developing the skills of producing educational
graphics and reducing the cognitive load of first-year students in
the Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Specific
Education, Benha University, and to achieve For this goal, the
researcher used the experimental method by applying the teaching
experience to a sample of students from the Department of
Educational Technology at the Faculty of Specific Education,
Benha University, consisting of (46) male and female students who
were divided into two unequal groups consisting of (25) with high
mental capacity, and (21) with low mental capacity, using the
research tools represented in the mental capacity scale, cognitive
achievement test, educational graphics production skills list,
educational graphics production skills note card, and cognitive
burden scale and the research found that there were statistically
significant differences between the mean scores of the two research
groups in the cognitive achievement test for the skills of producing
educational graphics due to the study using the combination
between the interactive and animated educational infographic
display style in favor of the high mental capacity group, and also
the presence of statistically significant differences Between the
mean scores of the two research groups in the cognitive burden
measurement test is attributed to the study using the combination
between the interactive and animated educational infographic
display style in favor of the high mental capacity group, as well as
the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation at the
level of 0.01 between the students’ scores in the cognitive
achievement test for educational graphics production skills. And an
increase in the reduction of the cognitive load among students of
educational technology is attributed to the study using the |
