The work aims to reuse two different industrial solid wastes (Dealuminated kaolin (DK) and Electric arc furnace slag (EAFS)) in the manufacture of eco-friendly binder. The probability of producing the more durable eco-friendly geo-polymer binders is produced from blending EAFS, and DK solid wastes sections with different dosages of alkaline activator solution. The produced binder was treated at ± 30oC at relative humidity (RH) 98 ± 1 %. Different experimental tests were performed such as, compressive strength, combined water, and free slag content. In addition to instrumental techniques such as XRD, DTA/TGA, SEM and FTIR were performed. DK hindered the formation of micro cracks through EAFS-geopolymer and enhanced the C-S-H formation beside enhanced the durability of the binder matrixes. |
