Abstract:

This paper deals with the application of the selective harmonic elimination technique of a closed-loop control scheme of single-phase PWM inverter employing proportional resonant controller. Selective harmonics elimination (SHE) technique is used to eliminate low order harmonics with relatively low inverter switching frequency. The major challenge which faces this technique is solving large numbers of nonlinear transcendental equations at each modulation index to generate the power inverter switching patterns. Proportional resonant controller is employed to reduce both magnitude and phase errors of the load voltage. Simulation of the proposed system is reported. The simulation results show that this system is capable of producing load voltage with low total harmonic distortion (THD).
