Parents' satisfaction is an important quality outcome indicator of health care services in hospital setting. The aim of the study was to assess parents' satisfaction toward care provided for their children in critical care units. The setting of the study was conducted at Specialized Pediatric Hospital and Benha University Hospital at Benha City. A descriptive research design was utilized in the study. A purposive sample of children admitted in PCCU and their parents (their number was100) participated in the study. Data were collected using interviewing questionnaire sheet and Assessment of Parents Satisfaction scale. The study results revealed that, 43.1%, 47.0%and49.0% respectively of the studied parents are highly satisfaction with the unit structure, perception of health team toward their needs and care provided in PCCU. Moreover, the study findings revealed that, there are highly statistically significance differences (P < 0.001) between diagnoses and duration of hospital stay of studied children and their parent's satisfaction. The study concluded that, generally parents can be considered not fully satisfied with care given for their children in PCCU. While, the results concluded that although, the structure of PCCU, care provided in PCCU and the perception of health team toward the parents' needs considered the main elements to achieve the satisfaction of the parents, these items was neglected to be in the consideration of the health team members. The study recommended that, training programs in pediatric critical care units for physicians, nurses and others health professionals concerning with parent’s satisfaction aspect, encouraged positive a communication channel between health care team and parents and developing parents' satisfaction sheet as an assessment tool for the quality of health care should be established as a daily record for detection of the parents’ deficit needs.
